What I look for in a Gin
I like the taste of dry gin, so really enjoy a juniper forward. The gins that we have tried have given me a new appreciation of Boreal, but still not my preference. The fruity gins can be hit or miss. Grapefruit has been delicious along with orange, but don’t give me anything blueberry as these gins tend to turn into a child’s grape juice. The overly sweet ones are a no-no, and nothing too flowery, please. I have, however, been surprised that some of my favourite gins have floral infusions – those more for the amazing colours rather than the taste. Otherwise, honey is an absolute NO for me. Give me ginger though – all those gins so far have been fabulous!
